Identify a person's baseline and then measure again to see if that person is functioning well enough to perform their job successfully and safely. Detect temporary changes that can slow down decision making due to alcohol & narcotics, stress, sleep deprivation, or other environmental factors. Detect a gradual and consistent decline which might be the beginning of certain diseases. Compare an individual prior to and after a treatment to determine if the intervention has had a positive or negative impact on cognition.

Unlike traditional cognitive tests our process is quick, has no practice effects, is highly reliable, is not culturally biased and does not depend on language.

TAKE THE TEST

When you only have a split-second to react, your ability to perceive what is happening around you as quickly as possible is critical. This is called situational awareness.

People think they see the world around them like a camera with a wide-angle lens. Not true. Your eyes are constantly darting around taking in the scene in front of you in small pieces. With each second you only see a few objects at once while your brain pieces them together into an illusion where you see everything simultaneously.

Our brains are all unique, and in split-seconds, create sweet spots and blind spots in our field of vision. This is due to a physical limitation of our brains capacity to take in visual information. Think of your brain like a gas tank and the objects around you like gas. Once your gas tank is full, no more is getting in. It simply spills to the ground until your brain frees up space a split-second later to take in more. Now you know why quarterbacks sometimes don’t see the open receiver. That receiver was in their brain's blind spot. We all have different capacities to see things on our left versus right and top versus bottom half of our field of vision.

Testing your eyesight measures your vision and ability to focus. Testing your brain measures how much, how fast and where you can perceive objects. SplitSage assessments are like an eye prescription for your brain, so you know where your strengths and weakness are. Individuals can compensate to improve their ability to see more and miss less in critical situations. Teams can position members based on strengths and weakness to improve effectives and success.
